Dear Delegates and Advisors,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to WUMUNS XVIII! I am so pleased to announce that the 18th iteration of Washington University Model United Nations Symposium will be occurring from October 17-19, 2025. We are proud to host right here on the beautiful WashU campus in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. 

Led by WashU students, WUMUNS has grown to be a competitive, crisis-oriented conference. We pride ourselves on small committee sizes with dedicated staffers, and maintain that each and every delegate enjoys a personalized and dynamic experience. We remain committed to providing a highly educational conference. This year, I am beyond excited about several innovative committee topics, including a Joint Crisis. Our Secretariat team, directors, and staffers put in months of hard work to make WUMUNS a renowned, dynamic conference.

This year, in the spirit of Washington University, we hope to highlight the importance of public health, especially in the St. Louis community. As Washington University in St. Louis, we are for St. Louis. I am excited to announce our community partner, Wings of Hope. We are incredibly proud to work with them this year and be able to support their work in using aviation to bring healing to the St. Louis community as well as globally. As always, our commitment to well-researched, novel committees holds strong – our team this year is made up of talented students who are deeply passionate about the topics they chose to research. Our greatest strength as an organization is our staffers’ academic dedication. I am so proud of the substance of the work we put out, and hope to bring intriguing questions to high school students.
